WHO WE ARE

“The well established and long-serving staff team are qualified and experienced. Children

benefit from the high-quality teaching.” Ofsted

Medbourne Pre-school was founded by a group of enthusiastic mothers over 35 years ago with current pre-school leader, Sara Robbins, joining a few years later. We are situated in a lovely old school building in the beautiful village of Medbourne in Leicestershire. The environment is bright and stimulating and children have free access to a range of activities including painting, play dough, small world play, craft, dressing up, role play, construction and a cosy book corner. We are also passionate about outdoor learning and are very fortunate to have an extensive garden and outdoor play area.

Our staff take great pleasure in providing excellent care and education for all the children in our setting. We support each child's individual development and prepare him or her for their transition to school. The children benefit from our staff's many years of experience, most having raised families of their own.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and by working within this framework parents can be confident that their child will receive a quality experience that supports their development and learning.

All of our staff are fully qualified childcare practitioners and first aiders. We have a Special Education Needs/Disabilities Co-ordinator and all are knowledgeable of our pre-school’s policies including Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Child Protection.
